⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: Wicked Pig Kitchen & Bar
Where Southern comfort meets “I need a moment alone with this plate.”
If you’re anywhere near Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and haven’t stopped by Wicked Pig Kitchen & Bar, I’m convinced you either don’t love yourself… or you’ve been kidnapped and I need to call someone. Because this place? This place is a Southern Bistro that understands the assignment.
Let’s begin with the Cauliflower Gratin with Gruyere and Garlic Chili Crisps.
I don’t know who decided cauliflower needed a glow-up, but Wicked Pig took that personally. Creamy Gruyere that tastes like it studied abroad in Switzerland, topped with chili crisps that whisper, “We’re classy, but we also bite back.” This dish alone will have you Googling “how to adopt a cauliflower.”
Then came the Baby Back Ribs with Hand-Cut Fries Fried in Tallow.
Listen. I’ve had ribs. I’ve lived ribs. But these? These fall off the bone like they’re trying to escape to freedom. And the tallow fries? Let’s just say if French fries had a royalty system, these would be crowned king, queen, and treasurer. Crispy, golden, and deeply disrespectful to every frozen fry you’ve ever eaten.
Next up—the Braised Boneless Short Ribs with Root Vegetables.
This tastes like a hug you didn’t know you needed. Tender, rich, slow-braised perfection surrounded by vegetables so soft, yet a slight crisp and so flavorful they could star in their own Hallmark movie. If comfort food had a doctorate, it would be this dish.
And finally, the Royal Red Shrimp & Grits with House-Made Bacon Gravy.
I’m still emotional. The shrimp were plump and royal for a reason. The grits? Smooth enough to make you double-check if you still have teeth. And the bacon gravy—house-made, mind you—tastes like someone’s Southern grandmother got tired of watching people mess this dish up and marched into the kitchen herself.
Overall, Wicked Pig Kitchen & Bar isn’t just serving food… they’re serving experiences. Laughter, flavor, and just a little wickedness—all wrapped up in one cozy Bay St. Louis spot.
Go hungry.
Leave happy.
Return often.
Your tastebuds will file a formal complaint if you don’t.
